Chiropractic Books
and Other Great Books


The following Chiropractic books come very highly recommended by not only me but several other leaders in the chiropractic field.

Some of the books are business books I've read that have helped and motivated me and others are books that are just good reads.

Each set of recommended books will be broken down by topic:

**Chiropractic Books**

- The first book I'm going to recommend is what I consider the holy grail of chiropractic. Why? Because it's what I do everyday. If you were to have only one book in your clinic library I would recommend this one. Every chiropractic student should be reading this during school.

1. Rehabilitation of the Spine: A Practitioner's Manual Written By: Craig Liebeson

- The second chiropractic book discusses low back disorders and is written by a leader in the physical therapy field. The author talks about different pain mechanisms of the low back as well as treatment and prevention. Another great book for any chiropractors library.

2. Low Back Disorders, Second Edition Written By: Stuart McGill

- The third chiropractic book is a great book on soft tissue disorders and how to treat them. The author is considered the authority.

3. Functional Soft-Tissue Examination and Treatment by Manual Methods, Third Edition Written By: Warren Hammer

- The next book is about functional movement and teaches you how to look at the body on a functional level. The author breaks down movment impairment syndromes and how to treat them.

4. Diagnosis and Treatment of Movement Impairment Syndromes Written By: Shirly Sahrmann

- All about the stresses of life and their mechanisms.

5. The Stress of Life Written By: Hans Selye

- This book talks about lumbopelvic pain and how to treat. Also movement and stability as a form of treatment of low back pain.

6. Movement, Stability & Lumbopelvic Pain: Integration of research and therapy Written By: Vleeming

- A book on how to treat the feet naturally.

7. Foot Orthoses and Other Forms of Conservative Foot Care Written By: Thomas Michaud

- This is a great book in the form of orthopedic examination and functional examination.

8. Orthopedic Physical Assessment (Orthopedic Physical Assessment (Magee)) Written By: David Magee

- Another holy grail in the chiropractic profession especially in the form of radiology. This will teach you all you need to know in skeletal conditions. This is a two book set.

9. Essentials of Skeletal Radiology (2 Vol. Set) Written By: Terry Yochum

- Mechanical shoulder disorders and how to treat the shoulder functionally.

10. Mechanical Shoulder Disorders: Perspectives in Functional Anatomy with DVD Written By: James Porterfield

**For Patients**

- A book on understanding your back pain. It also also explains treatment models and how to prevent your pain.

1. Goodbye Back Pain: A Suffers Guide to Full Back Recovery and Future Prevention Written By: Leonard Faye

- A book on ultimate back fitness and fitness for performance and stability. Written by the same author of Low Back Disorders.

2. Ultimate Back Fitness and Performance Written By: Stuart McGill

**Great Books for Anyone**

- This book is great for anyone to read. One of the best books I have ever read. I've even read it more than once. Teaches you how to think and be extraordinary.

1. The Answer: Grow Any Business, Achieve Financial Freedom, and Live an Extraordinary Life Written By: John Assaraf and Murray Smith

- This book was written by very well known author David Bach who is a financial advisor that has written many books on financial freedom.

2. The Automatic Millionaire: A Powerful One-Step Plan to Live and Finish Rich Written By: David Bach

- This book was the first of many in the Rich Dad series. Another one of my favorite books of all time. It teaches you how to think differently about money.

3. Rich Dad Poor Dad: What the Rich Teach Their Kids About Money-That the Poor and the Middle Class Do Not! Written By: Robert Kiyosaki

- This book shows you or your company how to go from good to great.

4. Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap... and Others Don't Written By: Jim Collins
