Gonstead Chiropractic Technique

Gonstead Chiropractic technique was created and developed in Wisconsin by a chiropractor named Clarence Gonstead, D.C. The technique is based on a static and motion evaluation of the spine. Heat instrumentation and full spine x-ray evaluation is also done to find an area of concern.

Once this area is established the chiropractor will treat the vertebra with a very specific manual adjustment to correct the misalignment or loss of motion.

Gonstead is based on a vertebra going posterior, therefore every listing in the technique starts with a posterior reference. The vertebra is considered misaligned posteriorly with usually another reference to being misaligned in another direction.

Gonstead technique takes great pride in being very specific with finding an area in the spine as well as treating and adjusting the area.
