Low Back Pain Relief

When looking for low back pain relief it is important to fully understand your options. In today's economy sometimes we put our aches and pains aside and now is the time when we should be seeking preventative care.

In the U.S. preventative care does not exist, the population has been taught to feel the pain...wait for more pain...then when you can't take it anymore seek treatment options. Now is the best time and it is very important to take care of ourselves in this uncertain economy and future.

Low back pain is a debilitating condition which has the potential to put people out of work. If the pain progresses and no treatment is provided it has the potential to become chronic and this can be a very debilitating thing. It is very important to seek a health care professional that can accurately diagnose your low back pain and give you the best treatment options.

Here is a list of possible low back treatment options:

1. Spinal Manipulation by a Chiropractor

2. Acupuncture

3. Soft tissue techniques such as Active Release Technique (ART)

4. Physiotherapy such as electrical stimulation or cold laser

5. Massage

6. Low back stabilization exercises (rehabilitation)

7. Nutritional Supplementation for anti-inflammation

8. Medication (NSAIDS)

9. Epidural steroid injections into the lower back

10. Surgeries

Conservative care should be the number one option for most people, and there are a number of different combinations of treatment options such as chiropractic adjustment with electrical stimulation for low back pain, or an adjustment with Active Release Technique to heal the soft tissues.

Most all treatment options should include a nutritional component to decrease inflammation and sensitivity to pain. Drugs and medications should be used as sparingly as possible and surgery should be a last resort after conservative treatments have failed.
