Total Gym Fitness and Rehablitation

The total gym fitness is a great piece of exercise equipment. It has many different functions for whatever goals you want to accomplish with it. You have most likely seen this equipment on TV with Chuck Norris and Christie Brinkley promoting it.

With all the models available anyone from 8-80 years old can use the total gym. They have a very basic model which is good but has low resistance. Then they go up in price with attachments, thick padding, more resistance and ability to add more weight.

The total gym can be used for overall strength gain, flexibility, and rehabilitation which is my favorite part of the machine. This piece of equipment will not build huge muscles for you; so if this is what you want I wouldn’t buy it.

It will however, if you watch the instructional video and stay consistent with your workouts increase your overall strength and fitness.

Many different conditions can be rehabilitated by using the total gym exercise machine. This machine is used in many sport rehabilitation clinics across the country.

For example, a person with rotator cuff syndrome can perform the shoulder exercises provided by the instructional video and most likely get some pain relief.

I’m not saying if everyone with rotator cuff syndrome uses this machine they will completely heal themselves. These are advanced rehabilitation exercises.

The cause of the rotator cuff syndrome must first be addressed preferably by a chiropractor and then progress to more functional exercises with the total gym.

If you’re looking for a piece of home exercise equipment the total gym comes highly recommended by the doctors at chiropractor-today.com. If you have any questions at all about use, or even if it’s right for you please fill free to use the contact form on this website.
