Why I Love My Chiropractic School!

by Dr. Chelsey Beckman

Me with a couple close friends

My name is Dr. Chelsey Beckman. I attended Logan College from Aug.2006 - Dec.2009. This chiropractic school is located in a very nice town called Chesterfield, MO. The campus is beautiful! This is what attracted me to this school in the first place.

I didn't know what to expect starting chiropractic school here. I just heard how vigorous and demanding it was. All of the teachers are great and are so eager to teach and for us to learn. They go out of their way to help you out.

Some of the teachers are chiropractors themselves, so it helped to get an insight of life after school. I had an awesome class, and made many great friends.

Our classmates motivated each other to do their best. Many teachers said we were the best class they ever had. That was a big compliment to all of us. There are certain doctors and teachers at Logan that I will definitely still keep in touch with and contact them on their expertise.

I had great mentors throughout school. I was a member of a student group organization on school called Motion Palpation. This taught me how to be a great palpator, adjuster, and doctor!

My student intern who was also in MPI (Motion Palpation Institute) actually got rid of my shoulder pain which I had chronically for 8 years!

Logan's Business Capstone class helped us prepare a business plan that we would use in starting our own practice once we graduated. I received many compliments from doctors, friends, and banks on how impressive this business plan was.

Logan also has a very high passing rate on National Board Exams. I was very prepared for each exam and did great! Logan's outpatient clinics, where we treated patients, provided me important skills I will use outside of school.

We actually had to market ourselves and get a certain amount of patients, adjustments, etc. to graduate. If you didn't, you didn't graduate. It was rough, but it gave me the confidence and experience in marketing myself and treating patients.

All and all Logan was a wonderful experience. Tough but worth it in the end. I took away life long friendships from this chiropractic school and it will definitely be an experience that I will never forget.
